Halisdemir Meclis 2024 Attendance
On April 20-21, 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in the Halisdemir Meclis simulation held in İzmir, Turkey. I took on the role of a parliament member in the Foreign Affairs Committee and experienced simulating the legislative process. From the start, I felt both excitement and curiosity, as such a simulation offered a unique chance to observe diplomacy and political processes up close.
During the committee work, we collaborated with other participants to draft legislation, discuss different political perspectives, and develop possible solutions. My role required me to defend my views, actively participate in debates, and apply democratic procedures within the parliament, which was both educational and inspiring.
Throughout this process, I felt responsible and confident. It was not only about playing a parliamentarian role but also about listening to different opinions, negotiating, and making strategic decisions. Participating in Halisdemir Meclis 2024 was an unforgettable experience that helped me develop my political, diplomatic, and leadership skills and provided valuable experience for my future career.
